Reducing greenhouse gases: Support vehicle logistics can be challenging with larger teams, so there might be more vehicles than necessary per team if people bring a bunch of cars just to make it easier. If there was a logistics chart on the website that people could use, it might be simpler for teams to figure out where and when each vehicle, rider and support person needs to be at any given time. Maybe then extra cars could be left at home. The chart would need to take into consideration the # of people on a team, which rider needs to be at their checkpoint & when, and who can drive a vehicle. Even if the chart can't take into consideration every detail, a basic one could still help.
A safety consideration: Maybe a size restriction on support vehicles? Such as not allowing RVs to be a support vehicle to reduce the amount of risk when they pull over, park roadside or slow to cheer on a teammate?
We started years ago by trying to leave vehicles at home. I think we could still leave one more at home but we use it for leg 7&8. We do this with the customs situation, after the mess we had a few years ago. If you could be sure that your rider was gettin through we could leave one more car at home.

vehicles
I haven't been part of the race before, so I don't know if limiting vehicle size would actually improve safety.
That seems to me to be more of a driver issue than a size issue. We're on a 8 person team from AK & restricting
RVs from being support vehicles will result in us having more vehicles rather than fewer.
feed zone
not having feed zones is an issue
you need to have one or 2 feed zones pr leg and that way you do not have cars driving all over the place to feed
also will increase rdier safety as they can be placed at points where itis deemed sefeest for feeds
