Vehicles

We all need support vehicles, and they are an important component of the race.  It would be great, from a racer's perspective, if they all were zero emissions, as we are frequently inhaling copious quantities of exhaust fumes.  The fact that some of these vehicles are older and have more pollutants, or are diesels, only makes our breathing situation worse. 

For those that operate these vehicles, or any car or truck for that matter, please keep in mind that the riders are ingesting your cars exhaust. The following might be helpful hints for drivers of support cars.

1.  Do not linger long when passing riders.  

2.  Pull over to cheer your team members and others.  (We all LOVE that!)

3.  When pulling out, please do not try to beat out the rider that is coming up.  Wait until the rider passes you first.

4.  Check your mirrors.

5.  If you have to bring a pre-2000 era car or a diesel, please keep in mind that these cars have a lot more of the harmful stuff that newer cars keep out.
