Welcome to the New Website
Welcome to the new KCIBR website!
We have put a bunch of effort into making the website easier to use, read and navigate. In addition, we have added some
new features.
Forums:
You can now post questions, look for teammates, find teams and have bike related conversations over in the forum.
Blog:
As important information or updates occur they will be posted to the website to keep you up to date!
Improved Course Information:
We are integrating maps, GPS elevation data and imagery.
Site-wide Search:
The site can now be easily searched from the search bar at the top of the page. Simply enter your query and press enter!
New features yet to come!
We are still working on some of the features. We are working on some of the course write-ups and integrating
mapping data onto the site. We wanted to get this site live to enable the big features mentioned above - especially the forums.
If you find errors or have trouble navigating please let us know via the Contact link!

Looking for a team
Preferably whitehorse based, semi-competitive, 4 person team. Would love to connect with people who would be keen to do a few training rides beforehand.
If interested please respond to alex.scott77@gmail.com

Showing a friend who cycles about the race, I found your website. Great start! One of her questions was 'do they have a profile of the course?' Looking at it from the other side of the world (Australia), such details provide a great picture of what one might expect. -Susan
Going Green?
Our team has suggested a few times that there be package pick up and Captain's meeting in Whitehorse on the Thursday or Friday night before the race. Lots of people have to drive two vehicles to go up to HJ when they are on a four person team or if you're a two, you both have to go up and stay in HJ or drive two vehicles. Often there isn't any place to stay or the campgrounds are full or so noisy you don't sleep all night. We do that for other races why not for this one? You could still have package pick up in HJ as well, but at least it would allow some teams the option of all going up together Saturday a.m.
Team Captain Meeting in Whitehorse
There will be a team captain meeting in Whitehorse this year, in response to requests made last year. Please check elsewhere on website for dates and times.
Package pick up in different places?
Your suggestion makes a lot of sense but the challenge we would need to overcome is that each team's race package is unique for that team. We would need to have some system for knowing in which location a team will pick up their package. Currently, the captain's meeting on the Friday night is viewed as a necessary item for at least one member of each team to attend. We would need to work out how to accomplish this item as well as how to handle last minute changes. With answers to issues like this, there could be a way to have race package pick up in Whitehorse, Haines, and Haines Junction in the future. Thanks for the suggestion! KCIBR
Package pickup in Haines, Alaska?
Those of us in Haines, Alaska, who work until 5 p.m. have always had a difficult time getting to Haines Junction in time for the check in and captain's meeting. Leaving directly from work and driving reasonably just above the speed limit put us in Haines Junction after the captains' meeting had already begun this year. Rather than requesting a later meeting and check-in time, we would like a package pickup in Haines.
age?
It would be nice to have your age posted, optional of course just to see how you did against others your age.
